I use Friday nights to make me feel guilty the rest of the weekend.
First, Star Wars TV Show news, because that makes me happy. I'm still hoping that I get "discovered" and land a part on this show. Yes, I am a Star Wars nerd.

Star Wars TV hints Yay! Bounty Hunters!

Welcome to the 2014 Hoth Games. I'm Bob Costas.
Happy late St. Patrick's Day. I had fun pinching people. Just because it was St. Patrick's Day, my icon features the Irish actor Cillian Murphy.
He starred in one of my favorite movies ever, 28 Days Later. The Murphy/Danny Boyle/Alex Garland actor/director/writer team is working on the upcoming film Sunshine, with Michelle Yeoh and others. I'm really excited about this film. I wonder what Garland can do with the sci-fi genre, especially since he's also writing the Halo movie...
What my friends say in Art Class: "I'm high on life. God is my dealer." I'm just quoting here, just quoting.
Phillip just told me (and Liliana seconded) that Amos and I were the only people from Kennedy who were accepted to UCLA. I still feel more shocked than proud.
Also got accepted to UC Davis and Irvine. Now, just waiting for Berkeley and the non-UCs.
The International Week rally was alright. It seems like a few of the acts needed more practice and energy, though. This year's performances: Afghan Club, Indian Club (one of the best), Hip-Hop Club (one of the best), Polynesian Club, Latin (very slow compared to previous years), and French Club doing the can-can. I still think that the rally during my sophmore year was tops in energy and diversity.
My Video Class is taping ROP's fashion show at the Hilton in Newark on Sunday. The dresses might be interesting.
New Fremont Global Mall wants to be more than Epcot
But I like Epcot. Yes, I know it's cheesy and commercial, but...I like Epcot. Wonder how this mall will turn out.
Can't wait for next week's Lost.
I watched Koyaanisqatsi. Started out slow, but it eventually became mesmerizing. I had to dash to get paper and pencil because all the images gave me so many ideas. If I teach a Creative Writing class someday, I'll start with a viewing of this film, with breaks and comments to keep awake those bored with the image-a-thon.
Just finished the first five episodes of Wolf's Rain. It's very good, and like no other anime. It mixes bits of tropes to create an engaging journey to find Paradise. The dynamics in the main group are...well, interesting, and slightly slashy. The animation (from Studio Bones) is good, though I expected more from a soundtrack by Yoko Kanno. The theme song is boring. But the rest of the soundtrack still displays Kanno's creativity and willingness to use diverse styles to fit the story and images on screen. Cool so far. When they showed how the old wolves work in the 5th episode, it made me nearly cry.
