Right now I'm searching for so many J.A. Caesar/Tenjo Saijiki performances and recordings. I grew up with musicals, so insane Japanese avant garde rock operas like theirs aren't a far stretch. It all started with hearing the entire Shintoku Maru (Poison Boy) on the radio one night; it's described as "phantasmagoric folk-psych-symph-prog-rock opera" big on the Oedipal issues (that term's a bit misleading, though, because Oedipus didn't even know Jocasta was his mom but pretty much every case the term describes has that knowledge blah blah okay I'll stop).
