I suppose all of you who are multifannish know at least to some degree what I am talking about, because essentially, I am talking about being in two fandoms at once. But while most people experience two fandoms as two different things they’re interested in, for me, it is the same thing, in two languages.

I caught the last 20 minutes or so of the Toluca game. 4 -1, with a hat trick from Mancilla! It was sad, though, to see the empty stadium, with health banners over the seats.

lol today in church, the priest talked about the upcoming Star Trek movie (and was totally geeky, like mentioning J.J. Abrams and Alias and Lost and Sylar from Heroes) and then compared the issues to authenticity and telling new stories to the impressions of upcoming confirmation candidates. It was awesome, even if I don't care one way or the other about the new movie.

The Girl Who Ate Everything
Fun food blog about food from around the world.

finally, Will Ferrell to team up with Dead Snow director for Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters
The idea is, they've grown up and they hunt witches... It's a hybrid sort of old-timey feeling, yet there's pump-action shotguns. Modern technology but in an old style. We heard it and we were just like, 'That's a freakin' franchise! You could make three of those!'
Sounds a little like Fables and a lot like Supernatural.

we only need one new version of Hansel and Gretel:

description from this review:
Life is pretty good in the small village of Hibari-Cho. Baked goods are mined from Bread Mountain, the host of Sister Garden pulls vegetables right out of her hair, and a giant pig cuts sides of meat off of himself for people to eat. All of this goes to the food market run by Hansel and Gretel’s parents, and everyone is happy. When the sources of food suddenly dry up, though, the villagers are lured to a strange place called Foodland where everything is made out of candy. Soon, the entire town is under an evil witch’s thrall, and it comes down to Hansel and Gretel to save them all. Good thing Gretel has her sword, and Hansel his super-powered voice that can destroy things with just a whisper. They’ll need them to stop a chilling face from their past!
