Mark Hansen and Ben Rubin’s Listening Post is an eerily beautiful art installation which generates sound and text from live conversations in chatrooms and on bulletin boards across the web. The snippets are read by a voice synthesizer, and displayed across a suspended grid of more than two hundred small electronic screens.


I saw this thing on the last free admission day at the San Jose Museum of Art
